When it comes to inverters, there are two main types to choose from. They are square wave or modified sine wave inverters and pure sine wave inverters. They each have their own features and advantages.

You might tell from their names that the pure sine wave inverters are better in quality and performance. Of course, this doesn’t mean that the modified ones are inferior in design and performance but it’s just that the pure sine wave variants are better for the following reasons:

• Sine wave inverters provide extended power backup, unlike modified square wave inverters. This extended power backup helps reduce your utility bill.
• The biggest benefit is that pure sine wave inverters are built using State of the Art Technology while the modified ones are built using old technology.
• Some stabilizers and computer UPS units don’t accept square wave inverter waveform. The only solution here is removing it and continue using your TV or computer without it.

You do not face any problems with pure sine wave inverters that work seamlessly when connected to any stabilizer or compact computer UPS.

• Sine wave inverters give you the same current from power grids while square wave inverters produce differently waved current. This is usually not safe for motors, induction and sensitive electronic devices.
• You will not get any irritating humming noise from fans and tube lights powered by pure sine wave inverters.
• There is no need to invest in a separate UPS for your desktop computers because sine wave versions are capable and safe enough to use to take care of your computer.
• Sine wave inverters have an output voltage within the 230 volts limit while square wave inverter’s output voltage can touch 290 volts.
• Last but not least, you can safely use your grinders on pure sine wave inverters, which is not possible with modified sine wave inverters.
